In the Gallery: 8 x 8 Show

One more month left of this fantastic show! The reception in February was a big hit, thank you everyone who came!

The 8 x 8 show was not only a hit at the Reception, but also in sales! Since the reception, many 8 x 8’s have sold, and new ones have come to replace them. That means, there is probably new art to see in the gallery!

This show will end at the end of this month, so if you have had your eye on a piece, better get in and buy it! (If you have art in the show, you can pick it up at the end of the month).

Spring Cleaning!

We had a great cleanup day after our successful February workshops. The art center is sparkling! We had accumulated a number of serving dishes and plastic storage containers in the “kitchen”, and placed in a large basket for people to check on items, and take them home. Unfortunately, the basket went home with someone as well….could it please be returned? Thanks you!

Also, there are several coats and jackets left…a navy blue shirt jacket, a black XL hooded sweatshirt and a pink plaid jacket are currently needing to go home. They will go to Sharing Hands on April 15 if still here by then.

The Search Continues….

Education Committee needs some help! Alice Tetamore had decided to step down from her position as Head of the Education Committee. If we do not find someone (or more than one person) to take on the role, the wonderful workshops we have had thus far at the Art Center will no longer exist. Alice has agreed to mentor the new head of the committee, and has the information very organized for running workshops.

A wonderful opportunity for BAA members in helping the Education Committee, is to audit a class by helping with set-up and clean-up of the workshop. Please contact Shavonne for more details: shavonne.schu@gmail.com
