LAST WEEK TO SEE THIS MONTH’S FEATURED ARTIST!

June Featured Artist

Deb Cooley

Art, it’s a living breathing thing that has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. My Grandmother Myrtle Hufford, my mother Shirley Crocker have encouraged, and taught me that art is a state of mind. Meaning that if you just be open and aware art is all around us . It can and will sustain you through difficult times.

I started drawing very young, then my Mom and Grand mother allowed me to watch then paint with them. First acrylics and oils and ,pastels. Some where along the line I got a taste of water colors. They are my go to. They are all about water paint and technique. I love them. But I truly love any medium I can get my hands on. Variety is the spice of life !

I honestly don’t think that I decided to be an artist, it is just an integral part of who I am. To those who aren’t sure if they are artistic, I say grab any medium from tactile to thought provoking and give it a whirl.

Art comes in many forms . Open your heart and mind ….. It’s waiting.
