January 2018 Newsletter

In the Gallery: Art of Story

This month’s show features two artists: Alice Tetamore, author of “The Crooked Tree,” and Kate McGee, illustrator of “Little Wolf’s First Howling.” It’s very different than any show we have had yet in Brownsville’s Gallery, so be sure to come and see it!

The book-theme doesn’t end there! For the reception on January 20th, we have invited writers to join us for an “Authors Sketch.” This will be sort of like “speed-dating” where everyone who comes in can sit in front of a writer, talk for 5 minutes, and then switch on to the next! The writers will also have their books for sale, so be sure to join us in the fun there!

Annual BAA Meeting:

January is always the month for our Annual BAA Meeting! This year, Lori Garcy is graciously inviting everyone to her home for the meeting, to provide a little more relaxed atmosphere.

Some points on the agenda include Elections (Secretary, and two At-Large Board Member positions), and information about the committees that keep the Art Center running.

Don’t miss it! January 21st at 2pm.
