Linda McCormick

You might know her as the woman behind “Stand By Me Day,” but did you know she wrote a book about a family who settled in Brownsville?

Linda and her husband retired in Brownsville, Oregon in 2005. This is where her love of history really blossomed. Linda has done historical research for different community events she is involved with, sharpening her research skills.

Curiosity about Henry Spalding and his immediate family caused her to research their story after she found that they lived in Brownsville for a time. The culmination of this data resulted in the journey of writing this book. Since writing the book, Linda has met many descendants of Henry Spalding, which adds to the depth of her experience. Probably the biggest thrill was working alongside famous author Jane Kirkpatrick while she wrote her historical fiction novel called “The Memory Weaver”.

Faye D. Raine

Remember that writer from Halsey that was in the Brownsville Times recently? Come meet her on Satruday!

My name is Jennifer Riley, I go by the pen name Faye D Raine. I started writing a bit in middle school but really got into it in high school. I love the creation of the people and the worlds they live in. While I have a few novels finished, I have only one that has been published.

Book Synopsis:
Paper Journey is about a princess who was meant to be sacrificed to a being of ultimate power but instead of death she found adventure, friendship, and strength. She possessed power that could change the world but power is often sought after and hers was no exception. Was she strong enough to fight fate?

E. Kay Sims

USAF (retired) Veteran
Yoga and T’ai Chi instructor.

She is a mother of two children (grown) and grandmother of 2 granddaughters.
E. Kay Sims writes Military Romance/Sci-Fi.
Her series is Soldiers of Destruction.

Book Synopsis:

I’m Capt. Eve Stone, and I’m a cyborg. I woke up in a top-secret lab with no memory of my past, except that I was once human. They erased my memory, more than once, but that’s the one thing they couldn’t extinguish because the body has a way of storing information at a cellular level. I’m more machine than human now, but once my sleep…

Books will be for sale at event!

Join us on Saturday, January 20th to meet Linda McCormick, Faye D. Raine, E. Kay Sims, and many other writers!
